Greystone Leadership Team

  • Kevin O’Brien

    President & CEO

    In 1987, Kevin founded Greystone. His guidance and focus on high-quality craftsmanship, safety, and customer service has grown Greystone from a start-up to a well-established and versatile general contractor.

    Kevin has an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.

  • Gordie Schmitz

    V.P. of Construction Operations

    Gordie joined Greystone in 1993 and has since established an exceptional team of project managers and estimators. Gordie’s areas of expertise span the entire construction process and Greystone’s delivery methods.

    Gordie has a BS in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

  • Eric Bender

    Director of Field Operations

    In 1995, Eric joined Greystone beginning as a tradesman working on commercial and industrial projects. Eric’s knowledge of field operations and his management style has made him a respected leader at Greystone.

    Eric has a BS in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

  • Gary Grahek

    CFO

    Gary has vast financial knowledge and experience in the construction industry. He is responsible for forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, and management of risk.

    Gary has a BS in Accounting from St. Cloud State University.

  • Brian Kreuser

    General Superintendent

    Brian joined the Greystone team in 1999 through an apprenticeship program at the Shakopee High school. With 20+ years in the construction industry, he is highly knowledgeable with hands-on experience. He is responsible for field labor scheduling, overseeing all in-house labor operations, training crews, equipment management and more.

  • Colin O’Brien

    Business Development Manager

    Colin grew up touring job sites with his father, Kevin, at a very young age. Colin’s construction experience officially began at Greystone as a field laborer in 2002. His field experience benefited him later as an estimator, project coordinator, and now business development manager. His focus includes agribusiness, commercial, and industrial markets.

    Colin has a BS in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
